If you are a user of one of these devices, you may already know Samsung Experience Service.

Connect all Samsung apps

This app is in charge of connecting Samsung applications and synchronizing them with the service that this company offers to its users through the cloud.

By installing the APK of this service, the owner can register and connect their applications through it so that they update and work in sync with the rest of the system.

In other words, it is a manager for the Samsung app ecosystem that performs a similar function to that of Google Play Services on Android.

In fact, you should know that if it is not updated or enabled, it is possible that the rest of the apps will not work correctly.

In order to use it and take advantage of its benefits, such as online storage for photos and videos, it is necessary to register as a user through the configuration.

How to uninstall TouchWiz / Samsung Experience on your smartphone

Android is an open source system. Google is in charge of creating and sharing it but then the manufacturers do more or less what they want with it.

A good example is Samsung and its TouchWiz (or Samsung Experience) customization layer, but not everyone likes it.

If you want to remove TouchWiz from your smartphone, we have several different solutions to help you, whether you are an average user or an Android expert.

What is TouchWiz / Samsung Experience?

In any Samsung smartphone we find the particular TouchWiz home interface. Since the failed Note 7 a new interface design called Grace UX has been introduced.

With the update of the Korean manufacturer’s devices to Android Nougat, this new design was extended, changing the interface a bit and its name went from TouchWiz to Samsung Experience, as we could see in the S8 .

However, not everyone likes this user experience. If you have a Samsung smartphone but you don’t like its interface, we will help you change it.

Disable TouchWiz / Samsung Experience apps (no root)

With this we are not going to remove TouchWiz from your Samsung smartphone, but at least we will remove the annoying updates that the pre-installed applications (bloatware) will constantly ask for to continue eating your internal memory.

We can get rid of the ads and apps that Samsung pre-installs in the following way.

You can start by removing the shortcut and the Widget, but to stop the application, go to Settings > Application manager > Application manager , find the annoying application here and select it.

Once inside the application information:

  • Uncheck the option ‘show notifications’
  • Clear the cache
  • Clear the data
  • And finally click on ‘Disable’

In this way the application will go into hibernation mode in which it will not update and will only occupy the initial space. If we want to reactivate it, we just have to go back to the application manager and under ‘Disabled all applications will be disabled.

Install a launcher to lose sight of TouchWiz / Samsung Experience

This is the most drastic thing you can do without rooting the terminal. If you don’t find TouchWiz’s high-contrast wallpapers and icons appealing, you can always change the look a bit to make your life more bearable.

With a custom launcher we can change the appearance of our desktop and that of the icons. It’s as simple as going to Google Play and downloading one of the many launchers available.

The most famous are Nova, Apex and Google Now. Here you can find a selection with  the best launcher  for Android.

Access Google Play and install the one you like the most. The first time you start it, it will ask you which launcher you want to use. Choose the launcher and click on ‘always’.

If for some reason you want to return to TouchWiz, you can change it from Settings > Default applications > Home .

Disintegrate TouchWiz / Samsung Experience: Root and install an AOSP ROM

If you want to completely lose sight of the entire Samsung system, you have no choice but to flash the device completely with a new ROM that does not have a trace of TouchWiz.

Please note this will affect the warranty as the Knox counter will no longer be zero. To flash a Samsung smartphone the first thing we need is Odin.

To remove TouchWiz from our smartphone we need several things: first install a custom recovery and then install the new ROM from the custom recovery.

Some ROMs are rooted as standard but for others it is optional.

The most widespread custom recovery in Samsung is TWRP. To install it you need the exact file for your device model that you can download from its official website .

To install the recovery with Odin you need the file with a .tar extension.

When the custom recovery is ready, we can go on to look for a good ROM without TouchWiz. In the XDA forum you will find many ROMs to test based on pure Android (AOSP).

The main thing to consider is the frequency with which it is updated and the comments of the users. If you don’t know where to start, Lineage OS can be a good start.
